The shutter of neyyar dam was raised by another 80 cm on 30/09/23 at 3.30 pm. Earlier, it was raised by 120 cm. With this, a total of two metres of the dam shutter has been raised. The Thiruvananthapuram district collector has asked the neighbours to be vigilant.

Thiruvananthapuram district received heavy rains today. The water level in Kundala dam in Idukki district is 1758 today. It's 40 meters. A red alert was then issued. 3.47 meters of cube water is released per second. The water level in Sholayar dam in Thrissur district has risen to 2660.80 feet. An orange alert was also issued in Sholayar.
