Warning that heat will increase in Kerala as the monsoon weakens.  India Meteorological Department has informed that it will be hot in 9 districts today and tomorrow.  The India Meteorological Department has said that the temperature will increase by 3 degrees to 5 degrees.  This is the first time a temperature warning has been issued during the monsoon season.

  The india Meteorological Department has said that the temperature is likely to rise up to 36 degrees Celsius in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts today and tomorrow.  Temperatures are likely to rise by three to five degrees above normal.  Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad districts will see temperature rise up to 35 degree Celsius.  The India Meteorological Department has said that the temperature may rise up to 34 degrees Celsius in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode districts.  The temperature in these districts is likely to rise by three to four degrees Celsius above normal.

  46% rainfall is less in Kerala from 1st June to 23rd August according to India Meteorological Department.  Kerala recorded less rainfall in the month of June.  But normal rainfall was received in the month of July.  Rainfall was less than normal in August as well.  This is due to the influence of El Nino etc.  Meanwhile, MetBeat Weather predicts more than normal rainfall in September.  But rainfall is likely to be less than normal during the monsoon season.  Meanwhile, the Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has informed that people who go out between 11 am and 3 pm should be careful.
